If unbeatable means unbeatable for real now that's good 'cause it now means what it means. The stars just never aligned properly for it to happen.Įdited by user Wednesday, Decem3:55:57 PM(UTC) Otherwise, I don't see how it would be possible to have not ever experienced it a single time in all of my hours of play. Not them TRYING to hit you, but them basically just not performing properly, which people interpret as an intended mechanic. Honestly, I feel like a lot of this is just coincidental, and down to the AI being so terrible, and just doing stupid things. It works REALLY good on buggies with tires sticking out, where you can kinda "hook" them. Off the starting line, you can kinda brush against the AI when they are blowing past you, and you sort of "stick" a little, and it will give you a speed boost with them. Some times I actually move in against them. I've seen them try to keep me from passing by moving over if I go to overtake them, but that's about it. I can be neck and neck, driving right beside them, and they will stick tight to their lane, and if a turn is approaching, they will usually brake early and go off screen. I can't say that I've ever seen an AI actually touch me outside of the few circumstances I mentioned, at least not on highly skilled or expert. I lose interest in AI races if the AI will not or cannot race cleanly. The AI maximizes the effect by swinging hard away from me before turning back at me. An AI car will do an intentional dive bomb straight into me as I'm passing. Frequently about halfway through the race. If you never, whether purposely or accidentally, try to block they path, they will never so much as TOUCH you. They will attempt to stick to a pre-determined line at all costs. They essentially just can't predict where to move, or when to get out of the way. I believe a lot of people are confusing ramming with their terrible path finding. I see this a lot, but never in my 50 hours (90% solo play), have I EVER seen a AI even ATTEMPT to purposely ram, or act in any way aggressive. It's like their infinite grip doesn't allow them to slide, and they will just flip and go flying on the slightest turns.Įdited by user Wednesday, Decem3:44:05 PM(UTC) It's especially noticable in buggies, if you mess with your suspension and sway bar settings. However, the AI will act very oddly and seem to not be able to control their cars properly, bounce around, or flip a lot. There are certain ways you can tune your car, and while not optimal, it's is still controllable. However, the AI will also seem to perform different depending on your tune. I think it may actually be a mixture of both, because the AI will do things that are impossible with you vehicle/setup/tune.
Only your CURRENT performance in any given race. Either that, or their performance and vehicle is entirely irrelevant, and they only scale off of your times, which makes it seem like tune/parts don't give any advantage, since that doesn't factor into the AIs performance. It's almost like the AI's vehicles are just a "skin", and their capabilities are a direct copy of yours. No matter what you do to your car, it never seems to give any advantage. It seems as though they 'borrow' your tune as well as your PI, so you get to a point where tuning the car doesn't help you at all.
I get you, but the programming for higher towards S900 seems to be a mistake in the coding.
I'm also still to beat Pro Goliath, on Expert there a quite a few parts where I can lose them from my mini map, but also parts where I'm slow or pick a poor line and they are soon back on me. This track is fairly open and I actually think the wet buff on this track at least is a little generous for the rain defying Porsche now I've done more laps, or pehaps I just need to practice my dry pace. May have to try an S1 900 build or two, just to see, though 400 laps around a track in the same conditions does help.Ī S900 build can be either lightweight, power or handling and likely they will perform differently on different tracks which makes any direct comparison tricky.
The S864 Porsche is almost identical in lap time and AI challenge and I also got similar race time over 3 laps in a S860 Mclaren but I don't remember which one but it was stock and I was interested how the AI responded to similar PI. I was using the base car such that anyone interested can do a direct comparison and so it's not then reliant on a quirk of a specific tune. you used an S860 instead of an S900 which might find a weakness in the Ai, but I am sticking to S900.
